I am more into hearing original tunes, or at least stuff I haven't heard before. I have heard enough GD covers to last a lifetime. Just my opinion.

I never called myself a 'Deadhead'. Never followed one band THAT much.
But still, the DEAD had So many hits. LOTS. Jerry & Co. were prolific.
Moonalice is pretty close. Why not?? More Dead stuff.Posted 9 months ago on November 14, 2009 LINK -
I agree EnWhyCee a new Dead song or two for the repertoire would be nice to have in the rotation. I'd also like to see more new covers which I really like mixed in with the great originals, keeps it interesting.

I think it would be nice to throw a couple more into the mix. I could stand to heard Dire Wolf or We Can Run a bit more often (thinking of those because I listened to '89 versions from Pittsburgh today while stressed out at work).
I'd actually prefer new (or at least new to me) stuff like the other person suggested, but a new take on an old familiar tune always gets the senses reeling.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but what about doing "Good morning little schoolgirl" Dead-style of course
:)

if they are going to cover GD... I vote for Other One. (surprise)
Great bass bombs for the band to play with.
Morning Dew would be ok too.
just don't over play Dead.. one song every 3rd -5th night..
make it a treat rather than a staple.
just my loudmouth opinion.

yea I like the treat idea, even with rotating dead tunes...
Comes a Time with Pete singing would be quite nice
Jack Straw with Roger doing the main lead, Molo doing the secondary lead would be quite nice
China(Ann lead) > Fire(Pete lead) would be a quite nicesomething here....Posted 3 months ago on May 11, 2010 LINK
