I haven't listened to the news for the past three months. Every time I get in the car, the CD player starts with my best of Moonalice collection and I never remember to turn on NPR Is there a cure?

doesn't sound like a problem to me...sounds like your car has been blessed by the tribe's witch doctor(No News Moonalice) till he deems you unworthy you'll never hear any news in your car again
This is probably as good a place as any for this link-

This is the son and 3 grandchildren of Dino Valenti performing his song Get Together at West Fest. (Joli, Cory, Sierra and Joshua, from oldest to youngest). The guy on bass is Merl Saunders son, Tony. This band also had Tom (Credence Clearwater) Fogarty's son on rhythm guitar.
Sometimes it is just about making music and the people that enjoy it. Thanks for the video.
Somethings never change

I've been having a similar problem, although after diagnosing it, it turned out to be OPERATOR ERROR. It happened again this morning; I was trying to listen to NPR but I kept hearing how certain members of the US Senate were trying to make sure that there was no chance of health insurance reform occurring in their lifetimes, and then suddenly, without warning, my hand shot over to the stereo and then music was playing and the "news" was gone. This happens a lot these days. For some reason, though, I am not going to seek a cure.
If that Colorado tag means family practice medical care, I can understand your aversion to current events in Washington. I live hear and am appalled by the posturing going on and no one ever is entirely open about there motivation for being obstructionists.
I got up to Baltimore (a real city) and had a great evening with Moonalice at the 8x10 club last week. Just what I needed
