I sent a couple of photos of GE and Pete I took at Summercamp last month to Michael Gray
(a GE Smith fan) in France and he posted them on his blog today. Michael is the author
of The Bob Dylan Encylopedia and Hand Me Down My Travelin' Shoes(In Search Of Blind Willie McTell). bobdylanencyclopedia.blogspot.com

Nice photos, jokerman61, and it must be quite an honor to have Mr. Gray include them in his blog. Congrats!

I went on to read Mr. Gray's review of Bob Dylan's most recent album, Together Through Life. The review was quite un-complimentary. Personally I think it's a wonderful album, and the more I listen to it, the better it gets. So I was reminded of a funny lyric from Zappa:

"But as for the sucker who will write the review
    If his mind is prehensile
    He'll put down his pencil
    And have himself a squat
    On the Cosmic Utensil"

    I'm so rude.

Thanks, Ensign and I'm with you on the new Dylan record. Michael Gray doesn't like it and
I get the impression he doesn't really care all that much for the contemporary Dylan concerts.
I Love the record and the concerts. I'm always interested in what Michael Gray has to say about
Bob Dylan even if I don't agree with him. He is a great writer and a really nice guy and
well versed on Bob Dylan and the American blues too. He even wrote a biography on Frank
Zappa(good read). He called Together Thru Life "shoddy sludge" which I find hilarious.
He doesn't like any of the work that Bob Dylan did with Robert Hunter.

    since every pleasure
    got an edge of pain
    pay for your ticket
    and don't complain... Dylan/Hunter
