Do you want to hang with the band after shows?

yeah, I want to hang with the band after the show and make some more Moonalice history. Thanks for doing the midwest winter tour. I only got to make it to
Stevens Point and Chicago and as it was those trips required driving skills that
Dean Moriarity would have been proud of. I had a great Time and the band was
right on. Thanks Chubby, Ms Blue, Hardwood, Sir Sinjin, Jesus, and Dawnman and Pat and Earl too. It was a blast!

Just what happens when the music's over? Or do you have to be there to know 'cause who really knows anything about what will happen next? (See No Country for Old Men for details - ouch!). So hanging with the band anytime must be every groupie's aspiration, and for us it would be a fun opportunity to expand the Moonalice experience and become part of the legend creation. If it is a really good time, maybe you can sell tickets to that too! It's all entertainment, and it happens just that way only once.

I am not here for a long time, I am here for a good time!

    Absolutely!

To Chubby W.Bat (Rog) Thanks again for signing my poster in Teaneck and letting me go backstage to say hi to Hardwood and share a few words...

I signed on to be part of the flight crew for the shows in PA... and possibly the next two including Toad's place in New haven...

I have a pretty cool idea involving outdoor performance/promo cause I have a little Pignose which has great tone for not being a tube amp and it's perfect for me to play anywhere and do those kinds of fun things....

    I could get behind that

It would also be fun to meet the band before the show and take you all out to the places where only locals know about for food and refreshment

also, I'd really like to come up on stage where all the magic happens and play guitar for a few numbers. Like a Rolling stone would be a great one for me cause it's one of my favorite Dylan songs regardless if it's a hit or not... another one that would be cool lve would be "If you gotta go, go now" also anything else that's good like that i'm sure cause Moonalice runs the gamut and that's really cool

Yes, my peeps and I would love to hang with the band. We had so much fun with you guys after the show in Boston. Me and my friends are coming in April to see you at the Paradise. We are friends with your brother and his band. Cannot wait to see you again. :-)

    We've heard you!

Stay tuned for opportunities to hang with the Moonalice on the band's upcoming run in the Northeast and Southeast....

As a band, ya'll have always been fairly open and talkative. From Pete telling
stories of when he started to play bass, to Jimmy sharing his wine with us
"groupies" at Hookahween. In fact I've always thought things like signing of
the posters is some of the BEST marketing ya'll do. People take those posters
home, hang them on their walls, etc. Sharing a glass of wine with the band,
only made it more special for those new fans.....

Some of the best times I've had with musicians is way after a show anyways.
Around a campfire at a festival, or a RV, or even just hanging out on some
park benches in front of the bar...

I also agree with popskull on the food/refreshment ideas. Ya'll were within
walking distance of great food at the House of Crave. But it seems the House
of Crave put out it's evil spell as I saw the crew grabbing food "by the sack".

    something here....

Hang with the band? That would be great. More importantly I just want to see Moonalice! I'm in the Dallas area, but I'd drive down to Austin to catch you guys--especially if it were on a weekend.

    Popskull,

We're going to Obrycki's for a very early supper before sound check. See you there.

    It's a great idea.
Kantner and JS often sell what they call "COG" tickets (Circle of Gold).
It's a stupid name but for just a few bucks more it opens the doors early to hear a little of the soundcheck and can get autographs after the show.

PS: Marty (and Slick), as far as I know, never come out afterward. Usually just Paul and Freiberg.

Tuna does a similar thing too but only a couple of tickets worth.

For now our strategy is to just hang with people who want to hang. The only exception is when we need to drive on to the next city after the set. We had a really good hang last night in Philly. GE, Pete, Ann and I sat in the lobby and autographed stuff. Tonight in Baltimore we just hung around outside the venue. We talked to a lot of fans. It was huge fun!

Sure. But every time I get an e-mail from Pete, he says (aaarggh) 'Cheers.'
I dunno if it a Britishism, or he really throws down the sauce, but I gotta start drinking more. All my heroes can throw down the sauce. I mean bands play in bars alot right? And clubs? They what? Alot sauce? Cheers to all. P.S. Whatya drinkin' Pete?

    Dear Barbette,

Come to the show at Slim's on April 3. We're going to do some experimental hanging that night. :-)

I will be at the show. Would this be post-show hanging? I'd love to take part in the experiment.

These are great suggestions! We're going to try a bunch of stuff on April 3 at Slim's and hope you will join in. Before the show, Big Steve Parish will be available for dental and psychiatric consultations. No telling where that will go. We have a big idea related to the show itself that we'll tell you about soon. After the show, there's no telling what will happen!

April 3 will be BIG FUN! Sign me up for the pre-dental plan psychiatric consultation with Big Steve. I need coverage!
