With 2009 quickly coming to a close, I am curious what other tribe members think is the standout recording for 2009. I suspect there will be a few more 2009 recordings posted in the coming weeks, but based on what is out there so far - which do you think is the best and why?

This year, we actually had recordings from two versions of the band - with G.E. and without G.E. So if you want to provide two shows based on this, be my guest.

For me the following are the standouts to me -

Without G.E. - 11/28/09 - Great American Music Hall - Benefit for Rex Fdn
    San Francisco, CA
Absolutely perfect playing. The way "On the Road" slides into "Stella" and "Kick It Open" slides into "TMIOK" send chills down my spine.

    With G.E. - 4/03/09 - Slim's - San Francisco, CA
This was their CD release party show. A nice long show with just about every song you would want to hear.

    Happy new year everyone!!!

In terms of recordings, I like RockClassics' choices. I think the recent Crystal Bay and Fairfax recordings are cool. I'll bet that last night's show turns out pretty well, also.

Huge thanks to PizzaJohn07, MendoMama, and BDumm for all you do for us!!! Let's do something fun with those Gold Passes!!!

Thank you cwm! What fun this has been...2010 is going to be a good one too. Thinking back, Area 101 in Laytonville was a great show, and Crescent City was a great song. mmm

    Tribal tunes rock our souls.

I think the Great American Music Hall show in November was the best show. In volunteering for Rex, my daughter and I were 'Turned On!' to Moonalice, and the Legend... The rest is future... Thank you for a magical evening and life changing experience. Regards, CBC Moonalice (if I may)

May the Legend be with you...
