I teach high school emotionally disturbed special ed (they changed the title AGAIN this year- this year I'm an SAI-TM- Specialized Academic Instructor-Therapeutic Model). I liked being Mr Ed when it meant emotionally disturbed, now that it means erectile dysfunction I'm cool with the name change.
I've used 3 sick days in the last 15 years- and 1 of those was a kidney-stone attack and hospitalization. I have never taken a personal day off. Until this Thursday. Everybody who knows me understands how compelling this is.
