Thanks for asking about my bass playing.
    It's coming.
When Barry sings "Dink's Blues" ten times, I play bass!
As of Arcata . . . he's up to eight.

We will make sure you play at Legend Valley then...

Barry won't hear the end of it, Dink's Blues it is...

This will be a special occasion for the tribe, and I'm confident that it will gain its appropriate place in the Legend: the good Dr. Blue on bass. That said, why not combine it with other milestones such as the solstice?

So what happens after Blue plays bass?

Does she then play bass the rest of the Tour? ie Sept and Oct shows?

    :D

Blue's debut was a HUGE success. The song was Steely Dan's Show Biz Kids, which was sung by Hardwood. I predict this is the beginning of a revolution . . . :-)

My playing bass for the first time on stage was a "once-in-a Blue-Moonalice" moment I will never forget! Thanks, guys, for carrying me (as always).
    Loved every second.

Since Barry won't be at the Thirsty Ear, then we can expect a repeat
    performance right Blue?

We'd love to hear Blue on bass. Show Biz Kids is a wonderful addition. Can't wait to hear it in Santa Cruz next time. . . or in Felton or anywhere!

Whatever else you do, never say never.

with a gang of five, that is even more reason for Blue to play
the whole show on bass at the Thirsty Ear right?

Blue is too generous to hog the low tones all night, but she is also too generous to ignore a request . . .

    Stay tuned! :-)

You are so kind. I had back-to-back bass shows. First, Show Biz Kids in Coos Bay, followed by my first shot at Eileen Aroon in Eureka. The guys nodded meaningfully and smilingly throughout. Whew!!

    High five I think -----
I know it's twice for Eileen Aroon (will be practicing that, for sure) and maybe three times for Showbiz Kids.
    Scary that I've lost track!
Thanks for the photo. May I please use it?

I enjoyed Blue's bass playing in Felton recently. Also, I have to say, your vocals are so spot on! Really nice presence on stage, Blue! I love having our "fairer sex" represented in the band. We are, after all, a matriarchal tribe.

Whatever else you do, never say never.

lol, I have trouble keeping the beat with the moonalice egg you gave me long ago... :D

I do have lots of bass friends, and I do live only miles away from bass heaven aka FPR, if that counts.

I play harmonica but I would love to try bass. Low tones are in my future, I'm sure. Felton is anxiously waiting for another visit from Moonalice!

The moonalice eggs I used to give out were recalled---very sad.
    I am looking for replacements.
Please don't eat or boil the eggs. . .they're to be shaken not slurped. . .
