I was told that this event used to be the Boulder Creek Art and Wine Festival and was held in downtown Boulder Creek, but it's been moved to the Roaring Camp Railroad grounds and the emphasis is on music, not so much art and wine. 11 bands and less than 30 food/crafts booths. Steam trains, very cool, although the shuttle train we took from the parking lot to the fair was electric.
Barry got off to a tough start on Whiter Shade of Pale, the first song, when he couldn't get his guitar dialed in and then had some issues with the pedal steel, didn't really get a note in until his lead in the middle of the song, then he started to catch fire.
Speaking of fire, it was hot up there. Felton is about 10 miles in from the coast, nestled in redwood forests in the Santa Cruz Mountains. An absolutely beautiful day if you were in the shade.
Event poster by one of my favorites, Alexandra. I'd been making progress reducing the number of posters in my living room when Les surprised me this week by buying me the 678 GAMH set of 7 posters and suddenly I'm back up to 13 posters in the living room.
We couldn't help noticing the June 6th, 2008 concert celebrated Roger and Ann's 25th anniversary, that means this Tuesday is their 27th anniversary. Happy anniversary.
