... and speaking of being on fire... I'm not a proficient enough musician yet that I play faster when inspired... but when I think about MY LOVER MAN , I definitely ride my motorcycle faster!

And speaking of Barry:

From reading the Alembic forum I see that Barry played on a newly-released album by Great American Taxi called Reckless Habits, pedal steel and guitar.
I have seen Taxi and they sound great. I would think that fans of Moonalice would like them.

The Bob Woods Trio + 2 opened, and one of the 2 was Pete Grant on pedal steel guitar. He sat in for a couple of songs with Moonalice. I had hoped that maybe he and Barry would get both pedal steels going at once, but Barry stayed on lead for the 2 songs, Like A Rolling Stone and something I can't remember.

Barry was on fire. He usually is, but he had me worried Saturday night. From now on, when the band plays indoors I'm going to wear a hat, keep my hair dry if Barry sets off the sprinkler system. I noticed that Ann was in Barry's space holding a mic so they could sing backup on Six Days On The Road. I'm all excited, I don't see Barry sing often, but then Les says Barry sang back-up last week in Berkeley on that song. I must have missed that.

It's physically impossible for me to say I don't want to see Jack back, but I like watching the band rotate through the instruments and watching Pete play the bass is extremely special.

Roger has been playing a lot more lead, sounding very good. Ann was in great voice and John was in great stick.

Those glow-in-the-dark t-shirts glow pretty good. Les likes it a lot- she says I look much better in the dark, and when I'm wearing the shirt she can still tell where I am.
